Fire Prevention Month Safety Training

October 9-15, 2007 was proclaimed fire prevention month and members of the Escalon Fire District conducted a safety presentation to kindergarten through 3rd grade students at the Dent Elementary School in Escalon, CA. on October 9 & 11, 2007.
Students were taught to "stop, drop and roll" in the event their clothes should catch on fire. "Sparky" the fireman was on hand to greet the children and encourage their participation and understanding of fire safety.
Assistant Chief Terry Pinheiro headed up the group of Escalon fireman who also demonstrated department fire fighting equipment.
